If you arrive on a different day or time once you proceed into the terminal there is a taxi stand inside the airport next to the exit to the right. Buy a ticket for either a shared shuttle at MexPeso $88 (about $8 USD) per person or private service for MexPeso $330 to Hotel Victoria.

How to reach Oaxaca from Mexico City by bus (pdf)

The duration is approximately between 6 and 9 hours, depending on the highway.

There are three different bus companies, All located in

  1. Terminal TAPO: Zaragoza No. 200, San Lázaro.
  2. Terminal Central del Norte: Av. Cien Metros 4097.

How to reach the terminal TAPO from the airport of Mexico City (Map)

  1. Taxi (Authorized taxi)

    1. Exit the customs inspection area turn to your left and see the counter with a sign “Sitio 300” from which you will prepay your fare to your destination (Terminal TAPO)
    2. After you purchase your ticket walk outside to the line of authorized taxi’s “Taxi terrestre”, enter the taxi and then hand your prepaid ticket to the driver who will hand you back your receipt portion.
  2. Metro

  3. Walk through the entire terminal until you reach the exit at the far end of Terminal A and continue to walk for about a long city block until you see the stairwell leading down to the Metro – station Terminal Aérea.

    Terminal TAPO is located outside of San Lázaro station.

    There are two options that can take you to San Lázaro.

    1. Take Pantitlán > Politécnico (Line 5, yellow)
    2. Stop in Oceanía
    3. Change to Line B Ciudad Azteca > Buena Vista
    4. Get off at the third stop “San Lázaro”.

    Option 2

    1. Take Pantitlán > Politécnico (Line 5, yellow)
    2. At Pantitlán (the end of the line) you leave the metro.
    3. Change to Line 1 (pink) Pantitlán > Observatorio.
    4. Get off the metro at the sixth stop “San Lázaro”.
