Alex Lopez-Ortiz is an Associate Professor and Cheriton Faculty Fellow in the School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. Alex has authored over 100 publications on a variety of topics such as search engine algorithms, internet tomography, data streams, video on demand, paging and constraint programming.
Dr. Lopez-Ortiz obtained his BMath at the National University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1989, and his MMath and PhD at the University of Waterloo in 1991 and 1996, respectively.
