9 women from UW-CS will attend the annual Grace Hopper Conference for
Women in Computing (this year in Atlanta, Georgia.) They will share
their experiences with us. Snacks will be served.

- UW Big CSters initial meeting
WICS is starting a mentoring program for 1st year female CS students.
This is the intial meeting. If you're interested in becoming a mentor,

Den Hollander, Alice Hai and Claire Andrews won the
Games4Girls
competition this year.
This competition involved designing a game for high school girls, us
ing
the Game Maker platform. The UW team not only designed the game, bu
t
also created lovely artwork and even composed the background music.
