If you wish to set up an appointment with me, please send me e-mail
with the following information:
- why you want to meet with me
- approximately how much time you will need; and
- specific times when you are free over the next week or two (ordered from most preferable time to least)
Please bear in mind that if your request is not reasonable (e.g. four
hours of review questions the day before the final exam) you should
not expect it to be granted. My schedule is very full and changes quickly, so getting a meeting at a preferable time on short notice is often not possible. The more flexibility and advance notice you can provide, the more you make it possible for me to find a nice time for you.
In addition, please ensure that you are in fact free at the times
that you claim to be free. Many people say "any time" until a
particular time is suggested. Please do not waste my time in this way.
And yes, all of these instructions are results of odd requests I have
received, including four hours of review questions the day before the
final exam.
