Favourites in Berkeley and San Francisco

I compiled the list for friends asking our kids' favorite activities in the Bay Area. Annotations and deletions are from January 2005.

Exploratorium
Playground at Golden Gate Park (the one by the merry-go-round)
Lesser playgrounds (OK but not great) in Berkeley: Codornices, King Jr. Jr. High
Tilden park (Little farm, merry-go-round, steam trains for younger kids; hikes for older ones)

Toy-go-round for used toys and books [January 2005: much of the merchandise is now new, though there are still used books and games]
Sweet Potatoes factory outlet, especially during sales [January 2005: mostly for younger kids].
Pegasus and Pendragon for used kids books (Black Oak and Moe's are more spotty in these sections).
