CS 448/648 Winter 2002
Introduction to Database Management
Assignments
-
Each assignment has a deadline, which is listed on
the assignment. The load on rees.math will get very high as
the deadline approaches.
-
Some of the assignments use DB2, a commercial database
management system that is running on rees.math.uwaterloo.ca.
There's lots of DB2 documentation available:

Final Exam
-
The final
exam has been scheduled for Wednesday April 17th from 14:00-17:00 in
PAC areas 11 and 12.
-
The exam will be comprehensive, although more weight will be given to material
that has been covered since the second midterm.
Remarking Requests
-
If there is a problem with the marking of an assignment or an exam, you
may submit it for remarking. Please do not stew over major marking
errors. If we have made a significant mistake, submit the assignment
or exam for remarking and we will fix the problem. Conversely,
please do not waste our time and your own time over minor problems.
We are likely to simply reject nuisance requests without comment.
-
If you wish to submit a remarking request, take the following steps:
-
Write a brief note explaining the reason for your request (why you believe
the marking is incorrect). Include your name and e-mail address in
your note.
-
Attach the note to the assignment or exam in question.
-
Give the request to the course instructor on or before the remarking request
deadline for the assignment or exam in question. (The deadlines are
listed above.) You can submit such requests after class or
during office hours, or you may simply slide your request under my office
(DC1315) door any time.
We'll contact you by e-mail once your request has been reviewed.
This will probably be about a week after the remarking request deadline.
-
Verbal requests will not be accepted - you must submit a written request
as described above.
