My current research interests are focused on the theory and implementation of scalable semantic search systems with expressive query processing capabilities. The term scalable however, can take on multiple meanings in the semantic search problem. I am primarily interested in these different perspectives of scalability:

scaling the reference data/meta-data/semantic graph;
scaling the expressiveness of the query language;
scaling the expressiveness of the underlying meta-data representation; and
scaling the data-set/corpus.

I am interested in how information extraction (and natural language processing in general), machine learning, and automated reasoning can play a role in designing scalable semantic search architectures with expressive querying capabilities.
