About

Hello, I am Daniel Herman, a first year MMATH in Computer Science student with a focus in machine learning under Dr. Yaoliang Yu at the University of Waterloo . I have a bachelor's degree in computer science and an honours degree in mathematics, both of which are from The University of British Columbia. I am a Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence Recipient 2020-21.

I am highly interested in memory representations (both working and long term), dynamic attribute association, and machine reasoning. I am also interested in developing tools and methods that: protect individuals from overly intrusive AI/data analysis, help strength democracy, and improve education.
