The David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science is hosting a video contest. We want to spread the word about Computer Science at the University of Waterloo and we need your help! We want you to create a 1-5 minute video that highlights why Waterloo is THE place to study Computer Science. Your video can be serious or funny, about academic or non-academic aspects of life in Computer Science. We encourage you to be original and creative! Work alone or in teams and get your Spielberg on for a chance to win the Grand Prize of a $500 Retail Services gift card.
First prize: University of Waterloo Computer Science Video
Second prize: The Student Experience in Computer Science at Waterloo
Third prize: CS is my life

What?
Your video should capture why you think studying Computer Science at Waterloo is great. We've come up with some ideas to get you started but feel free to be creative.
Grand Prize:
$500 Waterloo Retail Services gift card.
Length:
Each video must be at least 1 minute and no longer than 5 minutes total running time.
Language:
Videos must be in English.
Content:
Each video must not, in the discretion of the university, contain any sexually explicit, disparaging, libelous or other inappropriate content.
Submission deadline:
Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010 11:59 pm.
Copyright:
All video elements, including music, audio, speech/voiceovers, stills, video, supers, or other audiovisual materials used must be entirely original, created and performed by the contest entrants or be freely licensed as in the public domain or covered by the creative commons. Your video must not contain any material covered by a copyright that restricts your ability to use it.

Submit the contest entry form and additional consents form (if applicable) by email to heathero (at) uwaterloo (dot) ca. In person submissions can be delivered to the School of Computer Science main office (Helen), Davis Centre 2326. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
