Research Interests

Professor Storjohann's research is in the area of Computer Algebra. He is a member of the Symbolic Computation Group in Waterloo. His main focus is the design and complexity analysis of algorithms for solving exact linear algebra problems involving matrices whose entries are integers or polynomials. He is also interested in the implementation of highly optimized software for exact linear algebra.

Major Awards

Early Researcher Award, Government of Ontario (2007-2010); NSERC Synergy Innovation Award for Maplesoft & Symbolic Computation Group (2004)

Industrial and Sabbatical Experience

Professor Storjohann's primary industrial interaction has been with Waterloo Maple Inc. where he has been involved with software design and implementation.
