Terry Anderson, a MMath student supervised by Therese Biedl, has been awarded the 2010 Award for Exceptional Teaching by a Student.
“This award is the highest formal recognition given by UW for excellence in teaching by a registered student,” says Tamer Özsu, the director of the Cheriton School of Computer Science. The selection committee looks for intellectual vigour and communication skills in the successful candidate.
Terry will be officially recognized at the “Teaching Excellence Celebration” event that will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2010.
