The Big E and Special K Contests were written on Saturday, November 7. These contests challenge our University of Waterloo math students. The Special K is for first year students and the Big E is for upper year students.
The winners of the Big E contest this year were as follows. 1st Boyu Li 2nd Will Ma 3rd David Rhee The next three contestants were Steven Karp, Chenglong Zou, and Matthew Harrison-Trainor.
The winners of the Special K Contest were as follows. 1st Minghao Dai 2nd Shangsi Wang 3rd Manuel Candales and Julian Sun (tied for 3rd). The next three contestants were Chenghao Yang, Yang Tang, and Andrew Dhawan.
Congratulations to everyone, including Computer Science student Minghao Dai!
The contest problems have been included. Thanks to Ken Davidson for his suggestions and to Kevin Purbhoo and Christopher mall who submitted problems used in the contest.
